Introduction
Riverstone Partners is a boutique real estate company involved in real estate brokerage and real estate development. Since the formation of the company in 1999, Riverstone Partners has brokered and developed residential real estate, retail, professional office, condominium and single family projects. What makes Riverstone Partners unique?
While its owners had prior careers in executive management with large companies, today at Riverstone Partners they provide individualized attention to the needs of each client and “hands on” management of each project. Riverstone Partners understands there is nothing more important than first understanding the needs and goals of the client, having a clear vision for each assignment, developing a plan for achievement and then watching over the smallest of details.
The owners, John Bontreger and Mark Carney, combine for over 50 years of business experience. For 21 years Mr. Bontreger was CEO and Chairman of a public company involved in real estate development and management. Mr. Carney was a senior member with one of the “big five” public accounting firms for 12 years where he managed the real estate practice; and then seven years as the CFO of a public company. Their areas of expertise include: real estate brokerage (both hold Indiana Real Estate Licenses), development, new company capitalization, marketing, executive management, financial analysis, valuation and finance. This depth of experience combined with the “hands on” approach to each meeting the needs of each client and project makes Riverstone truly unique. The name Riverstone symbolizes their business experience. A “river stone” is a stone that has been weathered, smoothed and has withstood the test of time.
Business Approach and Philosophy
Riverstone Partners places a high premium on integrity, professionalism and a sharp focus on the needs of each client and business associates. To insure that it can provide the required time to each client and project, the company has to set limits on quantity. Riverstone Partners believes in simplicity and hard work in its approach and planning for success with clients. For the projects that are developed by Riverstone Partners, it contracts with outside firms for a significant amount of needed services thereby allowing internal resources to be focused on the overall management.
